Add quartered strawberry pieces to the bottom of a rocks glass. Splash in the agave nectar.
Muddle fresh strawberry chunks and agave nectar with a muddler until fruit is crushed and a red paste forms.
Fill glass the rest of the way with fresh ice and splash in the tequila.
Splash in orange juice. Stir everything together with a bar spoon to mix contents. Stir evenly and well until cocktail takes on a pinkish color and all ingredients are combined.
Top off with 1 to 2 ounces of the dry/unsweet sparkling wine such as champagne or prosecco and give the cocktail one more gentle stir.
Garnish with sliced strawberries or fresh orange slices. Serve Cold.
