Sparkling Apple Cider Fall Bourbon Cocktail with Fireball (Makes 2)
Splashes of good bourbon mix with fireball cinnamon whiskey, apple whiskey, cranberry, and fresh lemon to make a a bold and boozy fall bourbon cocktail that captures the season in every sparkling sip
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Bourbon - Your favorite good quality Kentucky Straight bourbon such as Four Roses or Woodford Reserve
- 1 oz Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
- ½ oz Apple Whiskey - I'm using Crown Regal apple whiskey
- 1 oz Cranberry Juice - such as Langer's cranberry juice
- ½ oz Pure Maple Syrup
- 2 oz Martinelli's Sparkling Cider - or more as desired - already chilled
- 2 wedges Fresh Lemon - for squeezing in
- 2 whole Cinnamon Sticks - for garnish
- 2 slices Red Apple or Green Apple - for garnish
Instructions
- Add fresh ice to a cocktail shaker to fill about three-quarters of the way.
- Splash in the bourbon, Fireball cinnamon whiskey, and Crown apple whiskey.
- To the same cocktail shaker, splash in the cranberry juice, maple syrup, and fresh-squeezed lemon juice from 2 wedges of fresh lemon.
- Shake these 6 ingredients together really well until the drink mixture is cold and completely chilled through.
- Strain the bourbon cocktail mixture into two rocks glasses over fresh ice. Distribute the mixture equally between the two glasses.
- Top off both of the fall bourbon drinks with splashes of the chilled Martinelli's sparkling cider to taste, as desired.
- Garnish with whole cinnamon sticks and thin red apple slices or green apple slices. Serve cold.
