Game Of Thrones Night King Cocktail | A Festive Blue Halloween Drink
This cool blue Halloween drink is inspired by the Night King from Game of Thrones... A quick chilled mix of light rum, apple cranberry juice, fresh lemon, and prosecco make a daring blue cocktail worthy of the ruthless Night King and his signature icy blue gaze...
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Light Rum or White Rum - such as Bacardi or Don Q
- 1 oz Apple Cranberry Juice
- 1 oz Blue Curaçao Liqueur
- ½ oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- ½ oz Simple Syrup
- Prosecco - or dry sparkling wine - for topping off
- Fresh Cranberries - for garnish
- 1 tbsp Blue Sanding sugar - for cocktail rim
- 1 tbsp Coarse Salt - for cocktail rim
Instructions
- Make a cocktail rim for your serving glass: combine a tablespoon of flaky coarse sea salt with another tablespoon of blue sanding sugar. Mix to combine evenly and sprinkle onto a flat surface. Swipe the rim of your cocktail glass with a fresh lemon wedge and dip the rim of the glass into the blue sugar mixture. Set aside.
- To the cocktail shaker, add in light rum, blue curaçao liqueur, and the apple cranberry juice. Next, pour in the simple syrup plus the fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
- Fill cocktail shaker about three quarters of the way (almost full but leaving some space at the top) and cover. Shake vigorously until all ingredients are very cold and well combined.
- Place a piece of cocktail ice in your prepared serving glass and strain cocktail over the ice. Top off with a light splash of chilled sparkling prosecco wine.
- Garnish with a skewer of frosty cranberries and serve ice cold.
