Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Bourbon - your favorite good quality bourbon - 3/4 cup to 1 cup as desired to taste
  • cup Cranberry Juice - such as Langer's cranberry juice or Ocean Spray
  • 1 cup Ginger Ale - such as Canada Dry
  • 1 cup Apple Cider - 100% pure apple cider
  • cup Orange Juice - such as Simply Orange Juice
  • cup Champagne or Prosecco - brut style / dry unsweet variety
  • ½ cup Cranberries - whole fresh or frozen cranberries for garnish
  • 5 slices Orange - fresh sliced orange wheels for garnish and floating on top
  • 5 slices Green Apple - fresh sliced apple for garnish and floating on top
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon Sugar Mix - optional - for rimming punch cups

Instructions

  • To make this easy holiday punch start by grabbing a medium punch bowl plus ladle or a pitcher so you can splash a few ingredients in.
  • Splash in the bourbon, cranberry juice, apple cider, and orange juice and give it a stir.
  • Next, splash in the sparkling ingredients.  Splash in the ginger ale and the dry brut style champagne or sparkling prosecco wine (unsweet variety of bubbly wine).  Give everything one more gentle stir.
  • Finish the punch recipe by floating thin green apple slices, thin orange wheels, and cranberries on top of punch.
  • To serve, swipe a punch glass with a wedge of fresh orange and dip in a mixture of cinnamon sugar.  You can buy a bottle of cinnamon sugar mix or make your own by mixing a tablespoon of white sugar with generous pinches of cinnamon on a flat plate.  Stir to combine and dip.
  • Add a little fresh ice to your punch cups along with a skewer of fresh cranberries, if desired.  Ladle the cocktail mixture into the cups over the fresh ice and serve the punch cold.

Notes

To make this simple New Year’s eve party punch for more people, it’s easy to double the recipe using your measuring cups (or a pyrex glass measuring cup).  Just splash in 2 measures of everything and serve in a wider large punch bowl.
