Festive Fizzing Fourth of July Cocktail with Vodka
Delicious flavors of fresh crushed strawberry, vodka, and lemonade give this festive and colorful Fourth of July vodka cocktail a juicy refreshing flavor that satisfies on hot summer days.
1½ozVodka - I used Costco’s Kirkland brand of plain vodka.
4ozLemonade - Your favorite already sweetened bottled lemonade – I used the Kirkland's brand of organic lemonade.
1wholeFresh Strawberry - cut into 4 equal pieces - plus more for garnishing
3 or 4Fresh Blueberries - for garnishing at the end
2ozSparkling Prosecco Wine - or more as desired, for topping off cocktail at the end
Blue Sanding Sugars - optional - for cocktail rim if desired

Swipe a rocks glass with a wedge of fresh lemon and dip in blue sanding sugar. Set aside.
Cut a large and ripe fresh strawberry into 4 equal pieces and drop into the bottom of your cocktail shaker tin. Muddle it until completely crushed.
Add the vodka to the crushed strawberry pieces and then splash in the lemonade.
Fill shaker with ice until three-quarters of the way full. Cover and shake thoroughly until berries, vodka, and lemonade are cold and combined.
Fill your rocks cocktail glass with fresh ice. Using a cocktail strainer, strain the vodka strawberry lemonade mixture into your rocks glass over the fresh ice.
Top off your festive Fourth of July drink with chilled sparkling prosecco wine as desired. Top with fresh blueberries and strawberries. Serve cold.
