Instructions
Toss cocktail cherries into the bottom of a rocks glass. Muddle the cherries until completely crushed.
Splash the bourbon over the crushed cherries in the glass.
Splash in fresh squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup. Lastly, splash in some of the cherry syrup from the bottle of cocktail cherries.
Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice and stir lightly to combine and begin to chill the cocktail.
Now fill the glass the rest of the way with more crushed ice. Gently stir contents one more time with a bar spoon. As it sits out, the crushed ice in the cocktail will slowly begin to frost the outside of your glass creating a wonderfully deep chill throughout the drink.
If using, top off with an ounce or two of the sparkling water to finish. Garnish with fresh slices of lemon (or a lemon twist) and extra cocktail cherries on top.
