This frothy dreamy iced coffee is made with just a few ingredients and has really become one of my favorite coffee treats. To achieve this tasty coffee foam, you only need to mix up 3 ingredients: instant coffee, sugar, and hot water.

Is it easy to make whipped coffee?
In my honest opinion, it is quite easy to create the whipped coffee foam. It’s especially easy if you’re using a little handheld mixer. If you’re doing it by hand with a whisk, as I like to do sometimes, it takes a little bit of arm power. Be ready to put in a little muscle whilst you whisk. That said, it doesn’t take very long for the foam to form. You’ll start to see the ingredients transform in just a handful of minutes.
What do i need to make an easy whipped coffee?
Super simple. First things first, you’ll need instant coffee. You can use instant coffee granules or even instant liquid coffee concentrate like Javy Coffee. Combine one of these with a couple tablespoons of freshly hot boiled water and plain white sugar. Whipping these ingredients together and introducing air at a quick rate will pull everything together into a silky frothy whipped coffee foam.

To make this easy whipped coffee cocktail, combine instant coffee, sugar, and boiling hot water in a medium bowl and whisk together. Combine everything using a whisk, a handheld mixer, or a stand mixer with the whisk attachment.
Whisk until the ingredients are combined and enough air is mixed in to create a thick colorful light brown colored foam. When you can see the ingredients become thick and foamy enough to scoop up with a spoon, it’s done!

To assemble the rest of the drink, simply scoop fresh ice into your serving glass and splash in the spiced rum, if using. Splash in a creamy delicious milk of your choice and top with the freshly whipped coffee foam we just made. Finish your tipsy cinnamon whipped coffee by sprinkling with ground cinnamon and garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired.
As you stir the foam in with the milk, you will start to see the milk take on the coffee colors from the foam. As you taste, you will note that you don’t really need to add any other sweetener to the drink. The sugar we added to the foam swirls perfectly into the milk below, creating a deliciously sweetened iced coffee combo. It’s especially wonderful in the summer when refreshing and chilled iced coffee is king.
Tipsy Cinnamon Whipped Coffee With Rum

- 2 tbsp Instant Coffee - Can use instant coffee granules. I used Javy Coffee concentrate
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Boiling Hot Water
- 1 cup Your Favorite Milk - or more if desired
- 1.5 oz Golden Spiced Rum, if using - I used Captain Morgan spiced rum
Instructions
- In your bowl, combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water by whisking together with a whisk, handheld mixer, or stand mixer with a whisk attachment.
- Whisk ingredients together until a thick voluminous coffee-colored foam forms. When it's thick enough to hold together as you scoop it up with a spoon, it's ready, about 2 to 5 minutes later.
- Fill your glass of choice with fresh ice and splash in the spiced rum if using. Pour in your favorite milk, nut milk, or plant milk and top it all off with the freshly whipped coffee foam.
- Top the foam with ground cinnamon and stir in a cinnamon stick, if available, or serve with a spoon in the glass.
- Gently stir in the foamy whipped coffee as you sip to sweeten the milk and infuse it with the coffee flavor from the foam. Serve immediately. Serve chilled.
