make Easy Watermelon Froséw with frozen strawberries and watermelon
The frozen fruits give this super simple frosé a nice smooth, icy finish that makes for the most delicious and refreshing frozen drink! As always, I like to finish mine off with little garnishes! Rose petals just seemed to fit in soooooo perfectly! I couldn’t resist…I just had to sprinkle on some petals to add to that perfect pinkish blush color.
Add Frozen Fruit to the blender
So, if we didn’t mention already, make sure you have prepped some frozen fruits beforehand. To make it super easy, I’ll just cube up some watermelon chunks and quarter some fresh strawberries (you can use already frozen berries too).
I’ll fill a couple sandwich ziplock baggies up (one with cubed watermelon and one with strawberries) about 3/4 of the way full with fruit and freeze for a few hours (or best, overnight). If unsure, measure up about a cup of each and freeze. When I’m ready, I’ll toss the frozen fruit right into the blender.
add a pinch of sweet + citrus
Next, I’ll drizzle in a dash of plain prepared simple syrup and I’ll reach over the blender and squeeze in a wedge or two of fresh lime juice.
now the best part: Big splash of rosé
Yup! A nice big splash of tasty, crisp, and refreshing rosé wine. Or at least enough to get that party in the blender started. That’s it! Pretty. Simple. Delicious.
Some of my favorite dry rosé wines to use for easy blender drinks like this include La Vieille Ferme Rose, Barefoot Wine Rose, or Bota Box Dry Rose Blend.
Pour & serve strawberry watermelon frosé
Once the frozen fruits, wine, lime, and simple simple syrup are smooth and blended up, it’s time to serve. Pour the frosé with frozen strawberries and watermelon into your favorite glass and garnish with a little fresh mint and prettiest of all: pink rose petals. Garnish with fresh strawberries, if desired.
If the consistency is too watery, add more frozen fruit. If it’s too thick, add in a little more wine until it’s right where you like it.
