I’ve had so much fun mixing up this easy iced coffee recipe with Javy’s coffee concentrate. I think the first thing that truly stood out for me was the fact that my index finger was so glued to the coffee machine’s “ON” button. I forgot how darn easy coffee can be without having to sacrifice that good silky taste.
What is Javy Coffee?
Javy is a coffee concentrate that comes ready to pour n’ stir in liquid form, and yes, ‘coffee concentrate’ is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a highly concentrated form of coffee that’s made with artisan-roasted beans that boast rich and bold flavors. The beans are transformed into little bottles of tasty magic using a steam extraction process that delivers the likes of smooth yet powerful coffee in teaspoon form. Does it get any more convenient than that? Methinks not.

What can I do with Javy Liquid Coffee?
I’m gonna go ahead and say anything you would do with a regular cup of coffee!
- Add it to hot water, stir and enjoy hot.
- Add it to a measure of cold or room temp water to create a fun iced coffee drink, as we’ll do here!
- You could drizzle some caramel into a glass and pour it in with ice, creamer, and your favorite sweetener. Now you’ve got a quick caramel iced coffee!
- You could use it as a flavor enhancer in desserts or baked goods. Use it as a coffee extract (just as you would vanilla!) in a coffee cake, tiramisu, or pair in with your favorite chocolate desserts. Chocolate and coffee combinations always taste like heaven. If you don’t believe me, just check out this chocolate coffee pick-me-up martini!
- Add a dash to your dessert cocktails. Wake up your chocolate martini with a pop of coffee flavor. This would make a great double for the famed espresso martini as well… Especially around the holidays when festive sweets, nogs, punches, and dessert drinks steal the show.

Speaking of dessert and drinks, I wanted to share this super simple and fun rum iced coffee recipe treat that boasts all the warming flavors of sweet winter spice…
Make A cozy Winter Spice Syrup for this easy Christmas iced coffee recipe
First thing to do is make this super easy spiced syrup that comes together really fast. All you have to do is grab a little sauce pan and dump in equal parts water + sugar. I did 1 cup of water to 1 cup of sugar. Now toss in some whole spices (that will literally make your kitchen smell like Christmas morning, omg.)
2 or 3 cinnamon sticks, about a teaspoon of whole cloves, plus 1/2 a teaspoon of whole allspice berries. Bring it to a simmer and now cover it, putting the lid on. Simmer with the lid on and the flame on low for 5 more minutes. Strain and store in a sealed bottle or container once cooled. Use for up to 2 weeks, if desired.
Add Ice and Splash In coffee to make A FESTIVE CHRISTMAS coffee DRINK
Next, we’ll grab a jigger and measure out 6 oz of cool or room temperature water and then we’ll splash in 1 to 2 teaspoons of the Javy coffee concentrate. I usually lean closer to 2 teaspoons. Now grab your favorite glass and fill it with a little scoop of ice and splash some of the Javy coffee mixture to about 3/4 of the way full, or more, if desired.
Add some spiced syrup To your christmas Rum Cocktail
Now add some of the homemade cinnamon winter spice syrup to add a touch of warming and delicious spice to the iced coffee. This will really hit the spot if you’re looking for simple winter Christmas cocktails.
(Optional) Spike it to make a boozy iced coffee!
I just couldn’t help but confirm it with my taste buds. The answer is yes. Spiced rum is soooooo good in here. Optional of course, and you could probably make it work with a hint of brandy or bourbon too. It would make the perfect cozy grown-up fireside ‘pick-me-up’ on these crispy November and December nights…
There are a couple of different brands out there, but good ol’ Captain Morgan spiced rum blends in here seamlessly, especially with the cinnamon spice notes from the golden winter syrup we made!
some tasty Suggestions for your Christmas Coffee drink recipe:
- You could also add a number of different things to make your rum iced coffee drink sooo delicious while staying within the same flavor profile. I love the flavor of RumChata in here. It’s a creamy Rum liqueur that is perfect in a coffee drink like this. It will add a creaminess and sweetness to the coffee with already built-in hints of rum.
- Kahlua would be perfect in here too. It is a dark and delicious sweet liqueur, so if you wanna make it creamy with that, just splash in your favorite milk or creamer in addition.
add your favorite milk to your spiced christmas rum drink
Lastly, splash in a dash of your favorite creamer, milk, or nut milk, and enjoy to the last drop!
Use regular milk, almond milk, coconut milk. Anything goes!
garnish and enjoy!
Now hit it with some cinnamon sticks to stir up all the coffee creamy goodness and enjoy this super easy cinnamon spiced rum iced coffee cocktail any time!
can i drink it hot?
Yes. If you would like to enjoy this hot, simply heat up your water to desired hot temperature, stir in Javy coffee concentrate, and pour into your your favorite mug. Splash in the syrup, creamer/milk of choice, plus rum, if using. Stir gently with a cinnamon stick. Grab a blanket, sit by the cozy Christmas fire, and enjoy. Cheers!
