Mix a Summery Watermelon Tequila Cocktail
1 oz silver tequila
1 oz fresh watermelon juice
1/2 oz fresh blackberry simple syrup (recipe below)
1 lime wedge (squeeze it in!)
For The Blackberry Simple Syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
8 blackberries
Syrup instructions: Toss all ingredients into a saucepan and cook through until berries begin to soften. Mash them into the liquid with a wooden spoon and simmer, about 5 minutes. Strain, chill and keep in a jar fitted with a tight lid.
Cocktail Instructions: In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients. Add ice and stir until all ingredients are mixed and chilled through. Strain the mixture into a wine glass filled with fresh ice and top off with a splash of your favorite rosé. Garnish with a fresh watermelon and blackberry skewer.
An expensive bottle of wine is not necessary for this recipe as it will be mixed into the cocktail, but, if you have a favorite brand, get it!

- 1 oz Fresh Watermelon Juice - I used fresh squeezed bottled juice from the grocery store
- 1/2 oz Fresh Blackberry Simple Syrup - Recipe follows
- 1 wedge Lime - For squeezing in
