A dash of blood orange juice and sweet muddled cantaloupe comes together with just a kiss of vodka in a champagne flute. Top it off with a good splash of sparkling rosé, and you’ve got a bright and fresh spring cocktail.
(Makes 2 cocktails)
2oz vodka
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz blood orange juice
4 chunks of cantaloupe
Sparkling rosé wine to top off
In a shaker, muddle the cantaloupe chunks. Add to the shaker the vodka, blood orange juice and simple syrup. Top off the shaker with ice and shake well until all ingredients are chilled and combined. Evenly divide mixture into two champagne flutes and top each with sparkling rosé.
Don’t be afraid to have fun with the garnishes! Toss in blood orange slices, cantaloupe slices, or thinly sliced red grapes for a fun pop.
