It’s honestly a pretty delicious yet simple combination, but, I will not neglect to mention what the allspice cocktail rim brings to the cocktail game here. I know it sounds weird, but the warmth of the nutmeg-y, cinnamon-y allspice wraps tequila around its tasty little finger…and a most interesting combination of earthy, spicy, and juicy happens.

I just feel like the agave notes in good tequila carry an earthiness that inspires you to push a little bit past the normal combinations. Sometimes you end up mixing things together that you wouldn’t normally expect and…therein lies the joy of the undiscovered, and the new! (At least it’s new to me!)

How to Make a Spicy Paloma Cocktail with Grapefruit Juice

The first thing to do is rub the rim of your cocktail glass with a little lime wedge and then dip it in a little ground allspice and brown sugar rim. I just tossed these together in a little bowl and combined until a beach sand texture formed. Then I transferred this to a small plate and dipped the glass in.

I like to use a fun stemless champagne glass for an elegant touch. These recyclable glasses are unbreakable and perfect for indoor/outdoor summer patio cocktails!

muddle some jalapeño for a Spicy Kiss In your Paloma cocktail

In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, splash in some fresh-squeezed lime juice and muddle anywhere from 2 to 4 slices of jalapeño. The more you add, the spicier it will become and the less you add, the more tame it will taste. I left the seeds on so as to allow more heat into the cocktail. We’ll strain them out later. The lime juice will infuse with the jalapeño flavors as you muddle.

Add Silver Tequila to your Spicy Paloma

Now splash in your favorite brand of good silver tequila plus a little simple syrup and add ice. You can either stir with a bar spoon or cover your cocktail shaker with the lid and shake. (If you’re in need of a nice cocktail set, you can grab the one in the picture right here! It’s my absolute favorite set in crystal and gold!) Now strain everything into your cocktail glass over fresh ice.

Top off This Easy paloma Cocktail with sparkling grapefruit juice

Strain your tequila, jalapeño, and lime juice mixture into your glass over fresh ice (making sure to leave the seeds behind) and top off with sparkling grapefruit juice. I highly recommend Fever-Tree sparkling grapefruit juice! It’s my go-to for a tasty and unique cocktail like this one.

It is delicious because it’s not overly sweet and it has a nice fizz to it. It always adds a nice finish to all my cocktails.

Enjoy This Easy Paloma Cocktail Recipe For Any Occasion!

The result is a delicious, spicy, sparkling, and refreshing Paloma cocktail with interesting flavors.

The allspice and brown sugar on the rim enhance the taste of the tequila as you sip while the spice from the jalapeño slowly gets the party started in the background. It is truly such an amazing combination of flavors, all so different and diverse. They all move together perfectly…like a fine dace of tango on your tongue! It really is perfect paloma cocktail recipe for those of you who like to get your beaks wet with a easy spicy cocktail.

What’s your favorite tequila cocktail? Palomas are usually a favorite, but I also loooooove salty rim margaritas of all kinds too! Even smoky rims like the one in this strawberry mango margarita on the rocks!

Hope you find time to make your favorite and sip it outside this summer ’cause darn it, you deserve it!
