A splash of cranberry juice gives this very merry Christmas champagne cocktail a bright ruby red color. Perfectly festive for a tasty holiday drink! Start off by dipping your glass in a little simple syrup and then dipping it in a little holiday sprinkles/red sanding sugar

I’ve used these simple and sleek stemless champagne flutes for serving up this easy holiday cocktail. They keep the cocktail nice and chilled with a lovely presentation.

Splash in Pomegranate Liqueur

Pour in some pomegranate liqueur! I’ve used PAMA liqueur, as pictured here. It has notes of cranberry, raspberry, cherry, and of course, pomegranate. This will give the cocktail such a delicious and fruity taste! It will also complement the champagne nicely when you top it all off.

If you can’t find PAMA liqueur, you can simply add an ounce pomegranate syrup and combine with half an ounce to an ounce of good quality vodka.

Sip your champagne christmas cocktail in holiday style!

If using the pomegranate syrup and vodka, stir these together first then add to the glass. If using the PAMA liqueur, splash directly into the glass followed by the cranberry juice.

Finish by splashing in nice chilled champagne. You can adjust the taste by tinkering with it and adding more or less as needed.

add champagne or prosecco to your Christmas cranberry cocktail

Once you’ve poured in the little splashes of juice and liqueur, top it all off with delicious sparkling champagne! Note: Use an already nicely chilled champagne such as Korbel or a delicious Prosecco that’s been cooling in the fridge. I always keep bottles of Mionetto prosecco or La Marca close by for quick party drinks like this! This will keep the cocktails tasting delicious and cold when you serve them to your guests.

candy cane garnish

Finish everything off by garnishing with a little mini candy cane! What could be more festive than this? This sparkling champagne Christmas cocktail will be a festive and delicious drink that’s truly perfect for the holidays! This will make a great and easy sparkling New Year’s cocktail as well…

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Pomegranate Liqueur - Such as PAMA Liqueur
  • 2 oz Cranberry Juice
  • Champagne or Prosecco - already chilled
  • Simple Syrup - For dipping/rimming glasses
  • Holiday Sprinkles/Sanding Sugar - For dipping/rimming glasses
  • Mini Candy Canes - For Garnish

Instructions

  • Dip the rims of your champagne glasses/flutes into a bit of simple syrup (corn syrup works too). Dip them into holiday colored sprinkles or white and red sanding sugar.
  • Once you've rimmed your glasses, splash in the cranberry juice, pomegranate liqueur or PAMA, as I've used here. Now top each one off with chilled champagne until filled to the top!

Notes

If you want your cocktail extra chilled and icy cold, just pop a few ice cubes in the glass before you pour in the ingredients. Otherwise, make sure you’re using a nicely chilled champagne to top everything off.  This will keep the cocktail cool!
