I found that apple cider or good pressed apple juice is the perfect partner for tequila, along with a dash of simple syrup and some zesty lime. A cinnamon-sugar dusted rim and some quick raspberry ice cubes make it pop with a hint more of color and elegance. Just a few extra easy touches give this Christmas cocktail a very special look and make it so festive and enjoyable.
Make ruby red craft cocktail ice
These ice cubes add a beautiful hint of red holiday color to the cocktail and it looks so pretty in the glass as you’re splashing in your ingredients and mixing everything up! It takes just a minute to grab some raspberries (pomegranates or cranberries work too) and toss them into your ice cube tray before you splash in your water. I like to use a silicone ice cube tray to get nice little frozen cubes with fruit tucked in. Freeze overnight and done!
festive cocktail ice for our apple christmas cocktail recipe…
The berries will expand and release some of their color into the cubes dying them red as they freeze. This makes quick, easy, and colorful craft cocktail ice. Now you’ve got a beautiful and fully functional pop of holiday red for your drinks!
The other few nice touches are the cinnamon sugar rim and maybe a little sprig or two of rosemary to make it a truly merry affair…
make it luxe with liqueur
Good tequila and a splash of Grand Marnier orange liqueur will set the rest of the stage for a very tasty sipping situation! Grand Marnier adds a delicious and luxe hint of sweet citrus flavor that will complement the tequila while adding a little silky body to the cocktail too.
Easy sipping with silver tequila
The inspiration for this cocktail is truly the tequila itself… Good silver tequila will usually have nice combinations of earth, spice, and fruity flavors that mix so well with the sweetness and natural acidity of apples. It’s a no-brainer combo for an easy apple Christmas cocktail that will keep holiday spirits high and bright…
