With that in mind, we mustn’t overlook the fact that even Santa’s trusty elves earn themselves a well-deserved sleigh break. As a toast to all their hefty holiday helping, I’ve mixed up an easy Sleigh Break Christmas bourbon cocktail that will leave them singing carols by the fire.

The hint of maple syrup adds a silky body to the cocktail while complementing the bourbon.  A bit of fresh lime adds perfect balance to the mixture of apple cider and maple.  Garnish and stir it all together with a fresh cinnamon stick to steep in a little spice as you sip.

  • Apple cider
  • Maple syrup – 100% pure maple syrup
  • Premium Ginger beer – for topping off such as Fever Tree ginger beer
  • Cinnamon sticks – for garnish
  • Cinnamon Sugar – for cocktail rim or cinnamon and white sugar combined
  • Cranberries – frozen cranberries for garnish
  • Red apple slices – for garnish

How To Make Easy whiskey Christmas Cocktails

Swipe your rocks glass and dip into a little combination of cinnamon sugar.  (About 1 tsp white sugar mixed with 1/8 tsp (or pinches) ground cinnamon.  Stir to combine on a flat plate and dip to coat the rim of the glass.  Set aside.
In a cocktail shaker, splash in bourbon, maple syrup, fresh lime juice, and apple cider.
Fill cocktail shaker about halfway with fresh ice cubes and shake well.  Shake vigorously until cocktail is combined and ice cold.
When shaken and combined, pour into a rocks glass.  Top off with the ginger beer.
Garnish with fresh cranberries, red apple slices, and a cinnamon stick.  Additionally, add a dusting of cinnamon sugar on top.
Serve ice cold.  Serve immediately.

  • 2 oz Apple Cider - pure apple cider
  • ½ oz Maple Syrup - 100% pure maple syrup
  • ½ oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • Ginger Beer - premium Fever Tree ginger beer for topping off
  • 1 to 2 Cinnamon Sticks - for stirring and garnishing
  • 1 spoonful Fresh Cranberries - for garnishing – frozen
  • Cinnamon Sugar - for garnish cocktail rim
  • 3 to 4 Red Apple Slices - for garnish
