Simple Fall Kitchen Table Decor with Sunflowers and Pumpkins

This simple fall kitchen table decor is a quick and festive way to welcome the autumn season into the room.  Use this easy fall table decor to freshen up a kitchen countertop or entry table with a rustic tray, faux pumpkins, and fresh sunny sunflowers.  These easy fall decorations will set the table with a touch of simple autumn flare.

 White mason jar candles tied with a bit of natural raffia string add the warmth of glowing candlelight with a bit of vintage farmhouse style.  If using this diy fall decoration as a fall table centerpiece for a dining table,  you might first put down a table runner.

I always like to start with a simple burlap table runner which provides a rustic yet neutral backdrop for a fall tablescape.  This is exactly what I did to complement this Thanksgiving centerpiece and it’s also how I layered up some rustic burlap fabrics for this spooky Halloween table complete with wood pumpkins and a black raven!

To build up this easy diy fall centerpiece, use a simple wooden tray.  Place a gold mercury glass vase in the tray off to the side.

Add A Vase with Friendly Fall Flowers

To style the vase with fresh flowers, use a simple mix of sunny yellow sunflowers and stems of solidago (commonly known as goldenrod flower).  This adds a colorful, bright, and fresh focal point for our beautiful centerpiece.

To add a little extra touch of autumn flare and the fall season, tuck in mini pumpkins! Tuck in colorful fall leaves.  This adds to that lovely warm, spiced color palette of fall tones that we are trying to create.  You can use real pumpkins or even a mix of small gourds.  

I used glittering gold and orange ornamental crackle pumpkins. You might choose to add white pumpkins or green pumpkins (or a mix of the two).  These colors also complement the flowers and white candles off to the side.

Consider making the display more dramatic by adding votive candles. Additionally, you might add a mix of candles all along the burlap table runner.  Long tapers in amber glass candle holders also add elegant drama! I kept things simple with these tall warm white candles in mason jars. They’re tied up with a bit of raffia string.
