These little cups are just filled with ripe summer berry flavor. The sweet creamy yogurt is my favorite part (aside from the whipped cream, of course). For those of you who love juicy ripe summer berries, you might argue that the fresh berries are the best part

Plus big ripe berries just don’t get any fresher or juicier than in summertime. If you went berry picking over the summer, it’s a great way to use up some of those fresh berries!
Ingredients to make this healthy easy 4th of July dessert
- 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt – I used plain unsweet full fat yogurt for a creamier effect
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 tsp Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Diced Strawberries – Fresh
- 1 cup Blueberries – Fresh
- Whipped Cream – For topping off
- Fresh Mint – for garnish
Chop Fresh Strawberries for your fourth of july dessert
Chop up about a cup fresh strawberries and gather about the same amount of blueberries and set aside while you mix together the yogurt topping.
Mix the Yogurt filling For these healthy summer fruit cups
In a medium bowl, mix together yogurt, honey, vanilla, and a little brown sugar until combined. I used plain greek yogurt for this.
Now spoon some fresh strawberries into the bottom of each serving glass and top that off with a little yogurt mixture. Now add some blueberries and top with the rest of the yogurt.
Continue working in layers until you run out of ingredients.
Finish your healthy 4th of July Yogurt dessert with Whipped Cream + Mint
Now dollop some fresh whipped cream over the top and garnish with fresh mint leaves! So simple, colorful, and delicious! They really come together super easy and with super simple ingredients. So whip these up any time you want a simple but delicious little strawberry dessert!
If you’re a big summer strawberry-lover like I am, you can probably sneak strawberries into quite a few things…like say, maybe this strawberry-mango smash cocktail or this strawberry spinach salad, or heck, why not, these strawberry lime rum shots!
Back to the fruit cups! On a quick sidenote: I only got about three thinner layers because I used wider glasses. Everything spreads in wider glasses so if you want more little layers, use skinnier/taller/longer glasses. This might help with stacking everything a little higher, if you want a more vertical presentation.
Serve this Simple Red White and Blue dessert as a festive 4th of July Snack in Minutes!
Whip up these quick fresh berry yogurt cups anytime you want a simple, fresh, and elegant fruit snack or dessert that’s healthy and kid-friendly too! Blackberries and raspberries wouldn’t be half bad in here either…
When Serving as a 4th of July dessert later on…
If you serve these for dessert at the end of your celebration, I would suggest assembling them just a little in advance while everyone is having their savory foods, placing on a tray in the fridge, and then pulling them out right before serving. The yogurt has to remain chilled and this dessert should be served cold.
I would then recommend to top with the twirls of whipped cream and mint right before placing out on the table.
Alternatively, you could top them with whipped topping such as Cool Whip (instead of whipped cream) if you want to completely finish assembling in advance. The whipped topping doesn’t melt and holds its form in the fridge. Fresh whipped cream from the can needs to be added right before serving as it is more sensitive to changes in temp.
Don’t forget to set a festive 4th of July table to go with this colorful dessert and put out some fun grown up drinks, too! This easy Fourth of July vodka cocktail and this fresh berry 4th of July drink are perfect complements for the holiday along with these easy red white and blue 4th of July sparklers!
