To complement the cozy warm flavors of fall, we’ll add bourbon instead of vodka, which is what you typically use in a classic white russian cocktail. Bourbon boasts rich notes of vanilla and spice which flow nicely in so many favorite fall cocktails (like for example this apple cider fall cocktail or this maple cranberry fall cocktail or this crisp vanilla cider bourbon cocktail)! The sky is the limit with fall drinks and bourbon.
In keeping things simple, instead of coffee liqueur, we’ll add slashes of leftover strong coffee and a hint of half & half coffee creamer for a silky yet creamy texture in this delicious cocktail.
Instead of using a pumpkin spice creamer, we’ll make a simple syrup to infuse our easy coffee white russian cocktail with lovely pumpkin spice flavors. We’ll make an easy brown sugar pumpkin spice syrup.
You can use this pumpkin syrup in anything from a pumpkin spice old fashioned to a pumpkin spice iced coffee.
