  • Agave nectar – I used Tres Agaves organic agave nectar which added a delicious flavor, light sweetness, and a silky body to my margarita
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Silver or blanco tequila – I used El Jimador blanco tequila which was priced at around twenty dollars at time of purchase. An excellent budget blanco tequila with good flavor that blends in nicely with mixed drinks.
  • Cranberry Watermelon juice – I used Ocean Spray cranberry watermelon juice

How To Make A Pink Flamingo-rita

combine tequila juice agavie nectar and lime juice in a glass and stir,
Combine all four ingredients (agave nectar, fresh-squeezed lime juice, blanco tequila, cranberry watermelon juice) in a mixing glass.
Stir cocktail together thoroughly with a bar spoon.
Pour the margarita mixture into a margarita glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with fresh sliced watermelon and lime wheels.  Serve cold.

Ingredients
  

  • 1¾ oz Blanco Tequila
  • 2 oz Cranberry Watermelon Juice - I used Ocean Spray
  • ¼ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Agave Nectar
  • Pink Sanding Sugar - optional – if using, swipe margarita glasses with a lime wedge and dip into a flat plate covered with pink sanding sugar, set aside.

Instructions
 

  • If using pink sanding sugars, swipe margarita glasses with a wedge of lime and dip into a flat plate covered with pink sanding sugar, set aside.
  • Combine all four ingredients in a mixing glass.
  • Stir together with a bar spoon. 
  • Pour the margarita mixture into a margarita glass filled with fresh ice.  Garnish with fresh sliced watermelon and lime wheels.  Serve cold.  Optionally, you may top off with a splash of plain sparkling water if you enjoy a fizzy finish!

Notes

*I highly recommend using a jigger with a 3/4 oz mark to keep things super easy. It helps keep the cocktails tasting consistent and takes the guess work out of measuring liquids.
