Bright citrus orange flavor twirls about in the cauldron with cranberry, spiced rum, and a hint of cinnamon whiskey to craft up bewitchingly boozy Hocus Pocus Halloween mimosas! Generous splashes of chilled champagne will enchant our fizzy witchy cocktail with pops of fizz and sparkle.
These delicious magical Hocus Pocus Halloween mimosas are inspired by my original Hocus Pocus Halloween cocktail! It’s a huge reader favorite all through the fall and into the Halloween season!

For those of you who have served my Hocus Pocus cocktail in the past, you’ll note that many of the ingredients are the same and derived from that original recipe.
The main differences are the addition of a little spiced Fireball cinnamon whiskey, and, of course, extra champagne! This recipe, being a mimosa, is topped off with a lot more bubbles and fizz (which makes up the body of the cocktail).
To get an ultra vibrant and brightening citrus flavor, I’ll add pinches of fresh orange zest along with a splash of freshly squeezed orange juice. This adds so much bright juicy flavor to the cocktail and it pairs beautifully with all the fall-inspired flavors that follow.
A bit of Fireball cinnamon whiskey adds just a touch of soft cinnamon spice and complements the cranberry and citrus. It also pairs perfectly with bit of spiced rum.
Make Easy Hocus Pocus Halloween Mimosas
All these easy ingredients combine together to make an enchanting and boozy bubbling cocktail inspired by the whimsical Sanderson Sister witches from Disney’s Hocus Pocus Movie.
This easy recipe makes 2 cauldron-bubbling Hocus Pocus mimosas, so there’s plenty to go around (especially if you double the recipe, yielding 4 drinks).
Be sure to keep a few bottles of ice cold prosecco or champagne already chilling in the fridge so you can shake, strain, and top these all off with ease. It’s also nice to buy a bag of navel oranges to have handy for fresh orange zest, and orange peel garnishes. Here’s how to put it all together…
Rim champagne flutes with purple and orange sugars
This step adds a colorful presentation to our festive Hocus Pocus mimosas. It’s optional, but so much fun! Grab your champagne glass and gently swipe it with a slice of fresh orange. Now dip the rim of the glass into a little orange sanding sugar or purple sanding sugar (or both). Put this aside (or even in the freezer) so the rim on the glass can set while you prepare the cocktail.
Add Fresh Orange Zest, Rum, and Cinnamon Whiskey
Sprinkle pinches of fresh orange zest into the bottom of your cocktail shaker. To the same cocktail shaker add the spiced rum and cinnamon whiskey. I’m using Fireball cinnamon whiskey along with a bit of Captain Morgan’s spiced rum. Use your favorite brand of decent quality spiced rum such as Sailor Jerry or The Kraken spiced rum.
Add Orange and Cranberry Juices
Now, to the same cocktail shaker, splash in cranberry juice, freshly squeezed orange juice, and simple syrup. You might buy bottled fresh-squeezed orange juice from your local grocery store or use a citrus press to easily press a few oranges over a bowl and collect fresh juice.
Be sure to zest your oranges before pressing so you can add that essence to the cocktail shaker first. If you plan on using orange peel as a garnish, collect the peel first as well, then press.
Shake and Strain your Halloween Mimosas
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice, cover, and shake all ingredients together well until very cold and chilled all the way through. Strain the Halloween cocktail mixture into two prepared champagne flutes.
Divide the cocktail mixture evenly between two champagne flutes, pouring a little at a time into the bottom of each flute until both have reached the same level.
TOP OFF YOUR HALLOWEEN Mimosas WITH PROSECCO OR CHAMPAGNE
Top off each glass the rest of the way with the cold prosecco or champagne and garnish a skewered orange twist.
These wonderfully spiced, citrusy mimosas make the perfect bubbly cocktail to enjoy at Halloween while you watch the Hocus Pocus movies with your favorite spooky snacks, like these fun Halloween bat tarts!
Just in case this favorite set of sisters slipped your mind, here are just a few of our favorite Sanderson Sisters quotes from the Hocus Pocus movie to remind you!
I hope you have tons of festive Halloween fun mixing up these delicious bubbly Halloween mimosas inspired by a movie that I hold so dear to my heart!
