If you’re looking for a simple and healthy green smoothie, look no further than these healthy spinach and blueberry fruit smoothies loaded with simple goodness.
Spinach is such an easy ingredient to work with since it is quite mild in flavor. It makes a great leafy green base that you can easily layer up with fruits, yogurts, and/or nut milks. Plus, it’s a go-to for me when I want to get in a couple gulps of something yummy that’s packed with minerals and vitamins.
The Benefits of Bright Green Spinach In Your Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe
In a few sips you’ll be taking in all kinds of goodies: B vitamins, antioxidants, iron, calcium, vitamins C and K, just to name a few.
Aside from the fact that it’s healthy and nutritious, it takes just a few minutes to throw some spinach leaves, fruit, and yogurt in the blender and pour up. I’d call that a win-win! The smoothie gets its name from the purple spots the blueberries leave behind in this tasty mix of bright green spinach, yogurt, honey, and fruit.
If you find that you really like this easy smoothie, it’s pretty convenient to ziplock a few packs of these simple ingredients and freeze to quickly blend up later as a morning boost or healthy afternoon pick-me-up later on. When the ingredients are simple, it makes everything else a cinch!

Make A Blueberry and Spinach Green Smoothie Recipe
Add your spinach to the blender and then top it with frozen strawberries and peaches. Since I am adding frozen fruit to this recipe, I did not add ice. The icy cold fruit was enough to flavor and chill the smoothie completely through. You get all the great taste of the ingredients without adding any water or ice. The bonus is you end up using less sweetener because there’s no ice watering anything down. More of the fruit’s natural sweetness and flavor infuses the smoothie with deliciousness.
Combine Spinach, Fruit, Yogurt & Honey IN The Blender
I did, however, use fresh blueberries. It’s totally fine to use all frozen fruit for the recipe, which I would recommend. If you are using all fresh fruit, add some ice and blend until slushy, smooth, and chilled through. Adjust the sweetness, if needed. Combine the spinach, fruit, yogurt, honey, and splash of orange juice in the blender and blend until smooth. Pour and serve immediately while it’s nice and cold.
Substitutions/Suggestions:
- Try making a triple berry smoothie. If you don’t have peach, then it also works to use what you have on hand. Do blueberries, blackberries, and/or strawberries to make a triple berry spinach smoothie!
- Use plain greek yogurt with no sugar added. This way you can control the sugar better by adding in a little honey or agave nectar. Some other ideas for sweeteners might include simple syrup, Splenda, or stevia.
