It is so pretty and easy to style this halloween look and best of all, it can be created with natural things that you can easily find and most likely reuse over again. Dried flowers and branches with dried berries, stalks of wheat, and natural elements you can probably find right outside give it that spooky harvest feel.

Sit A Posable Skeleton on a Crate or Box

A simple skeleton is my star here. I tucked little berry branches in between the bones of the skeleton. I found these in the artificial flower section at my local craft store. You can accent the front of the skeleton with an actual carved jack-o-lantern pumpkin, or a luminary like the one I featured here. If you’re looking for a skeleton, this full body posable one is perfect for the job!

Add A Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin or Luminary to your haunted harvest decor scene!

halloween luminary with lights

If you use a jack-o-lantern, I would suggest using an led/battery operated light or artificial candle to light it. This fun Halloween lantern set is a great option too! If you’re looking for more of a classic jack-o-lantern face design, this cute set of 3 pumpkin jack-o-lanterns is my fave!

Otherwise, if you happen to have a tin copper luminary sorta like I have pictured above, adding some simple warm colored fairy lights like these inside usually does the trick to light it up. This is exactly what I did to bring my lantern to life. Be sure to grab them in orange for an even more colorful, festive look…

Add Lighting to your outdoor halloween decor

Take the twinkle lights and coil them up and around the posable skeleton as well. This will light up your skeleton and really make it stand out. It will have a sort of warm, chic glow that gives the whole decoration its own little spotlight.

As mentioned above, you’ll want to gather the rest of the twinkle lights and place them inside the Halloween lantern to light it up and give it glow and warmth!

Decorate With Dried Flowers, Wheat Stalks, Branches

Group Together with Pumpkins & Gourds

Place this display alongside larger real or ornamental gourds and pumpkins! For my haunted harvest halloween corner I placed my skeleton alongside an urn planter.

My urn planter had herbs still growing in it from the summer. I just left the dirt inside and left the flowing thyme herbs that hung over the side. I cleared out any growth from the middle and placed a pumpkin lantern with a light inside! You could also stack pumpkins from largest to smallest in here and it would look beautiful!

I left the herbs growing over the side and stuck in some artificial fall flowers here and there. They came together in bundles so I just used a wire cutter to separate them and tuck them.
