I’ve had all the positive health benefits of kale bubbling around in my head like a fizzy little green cocktail. There are so many benefits to eating kale that I’m running out of reasons not do it. All that vitamin-packed green goodness has inspired this fresh, fruity honey and peach kale green smoothie recipe.
For this smoothie I used a vibrant green curly variety of kale that I deboned by removing the center stem. I added fresh chunks of yellow flesh peach, some lime juice and some honey.
The Green Goodness Of Kale
- It’s loaded with good amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin K.
- It’s a good source of iron and boasts powerful antioxidants that have heart healthy and cancer-fighting properties.
- Including more kale in your salads or smoothies is great and easy way to drastically boost your diet with extra vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
- It’s no wonder that this one single ingredient can really make a wholesome and healthy difference.
Have I twisted your arm into trying it yet? Good! ‘Cause we’re about to drink it… Let’s dive into the smoothie.
1. Peel and Cube A Fresh Ripe Peach
Peel your peach, if desired, and cut it into large cubes or chunks. It doesn’t need to be perfect since it’s getting tossed into the blender. I used a ripe yellow flesh peach, but you can use any variety of fresh peach that’s nice and ripe (or in season). Here are few tips on how to ripen your peaches.
2. Prep Your Kale
Start off by rinsing your kale leaves to wash them clean and then pat them dry with a paper towel, if desired. Remove the tough center stem and then break the leaf into pieces. I just use my fingers and tear it like paper.
3. Add Remaining Ingredients To The Blender
Toss peach chunks and kale pieces into your blender and top it off with with a splash of water.
Add the honey and squeeze in the lime juice from a lime wedge.
4. Blend Ingredients to make a Honey Peach Kale Green SMoothie REcipe
Top everything off with ice and put the cover on. Blend until silky smooth and combined. Now take a sip and soak up all the nutrient-rich goodness of a fresh fruity kale and peach smoothie.

Helpful Smoothie Hints:
- Adding fresh fruit/fruit juices to your kale smoothie will help clean up the bitter notes that naturally come out in raw kale.
- Most times a little acidity like lime or lemon juice will help to balance any sweeteners you use.
- Adding ice creates that nice chilled slushy factor for your smoothies but it can also mute out the sweetness. Don’t forget to taste after blending and adjust the sweetener/acidity to your liking.
Substitutions/Suggestions:
- Yes! You can totally make this peach kale green smoothie recipe with fresh spinach leaves. Spinach would make yet another amazing super green smoothie. Spinach is like the vodka of the green leaf world. It is super mellow in taste, combines seamlessly into just about anything, and disappears without a trace….ha!
- Feel free to punch it up with plain yogurt or your favorite protein powder. Both of these will have the added benefit of a protein boost.
- If you don’t have peaches, use bananas or berries! You can use frozen fruit too. Note: If you use frozen fruit, you probably won’t need ice. If you don’t use much ice, you won’t need as much sweeter.
- Keep in mind that regardless of the swaps or changes you make, you will have to adjust the acidity and sweetness levels to your liking. Just taste it out and take it from there! Your tongue is the best tool…
