Blackberry Margarita
Fresh Blackberry Margarita
3/4 oz lime juice
3/4 oz blackberry syrup (recipe below)
2 oz silver tequila (we used Olmeca Altos Plata)
Blackberry Syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
8 fresh blackberries
Toss ingredients into a saucepan and cook through on medium heat until simmering and berries soften. When berries are soft enough, mash them with a wooden spoon and continue to stir until syrup is lightly thickened. You will end up with a beautiful ruby color. Strain the mixture and keep refrigerated in a sealed jar.
A Splash of Silver Tequila
We used Olmeca Altos silver tequila which had a beautiful clean taste in the cocktail. The lime and berry flavors complimented it perfectly.
Dress it up with lime wheels and fresh blackberries for a vibrant finishing touch and most importantly…enjoy! Check out this fresh blackberry cocktail with watermelon!
