What You’ll Need To Make a Fourth of July Vodka Cocktail
- Plain vodka – your favorite brand – I used Costco’s Kirkland brand of plain vodka.
- Lemonade – your favorite already sweetened bottled lemonade – I used the Kirkland brand of organic lemonade.
- Fresh ripe strawberries – (cut into quarters) some for muddling in the cocktail and more for garnishing
- Fresh ripe blueberries – for garnishing
- Prosecco – your favorite bottle of dry chilled prosecco or dry brut champagne.
- Blue sanding sugars – optional to create a festive blue cocktail rim for our easy 4th of July drink with fresh berries.

Festive Fizzing Fourth of July Cocktail with Vodka
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Vodka - I used Costco’s Kirkland brand of plain vodka.
- 4 oz Lemonade - Your favorite already sweetened bottled lemonade – I used the Kirkland's brand of organic lemonade.
- 1 whole Fresh Strawberry - cut into 4 equal pieces – plus more for garnishing
- 3 or 4 Fresh Blueberries - for garnishing at the end
- 2 oz Sparkling Prosecco Wine - or more as desired, for topping off cocktail at the end
- Blue Sanding Sugars - optional – for cocktail rim if desired
Instructions
- Swipe a rocks glass with a wedge of fresh lemon and dip in blue sanding sugar. Set aside.
- Cut a large and ripe fresh strawberry into 4 equal pieces and drop into the bottom of your cocktail shaker tin. Muddle it until completely crushed.Â
- Add the vodka to the crushed strawberry pieces and then splash in the lemonade.
- Fill shaker with ice until three-quarters of the way full. Cover and shake thoroughly until berries, vodka, and lemonade are cold and combined.
- Fill your rocks cocktail glass with fresh ice. Using a cocktail strainer, strain the vodka strawberry lemonade mixture into your rocks glass over the fresh ice.
- Top off your festive Fourth of July drink with chilled sparkling prosecco wine as desired. Top with fresh blueberries and strawberries. Serve cold. Â
