Serve it up with cubed apples in a big pitcher or splash into a punch bowl like this one and enjoy simply as a spiced fall sangria with Fireball. In a punch bowl, float colorful apple slices and orange slices on top. Dot with star anise pods and serve it up just like I did with this sparkling bourbon red apple Thanksgiving punch!

This festive batch cocktail would also be fun served in a glass beverage dispenser like this one with lots of fruit floating on top! Guests can easily self serve and sip!

You Can Also Enjoy This Cocktail as a Simple Fall Sangria

Thanksgiving sangria recipe

A lot of my favorite fall cocktail recipes will incorporate a little bit of that Fireball cinnamon whiskey. It instantly adds that layer of warming spice and natural sweetness that really tastes like fall. When you combine this flavor with splashes of crisp apple cider, citrusy orange juice, and red wine, you’ll get the perfect fall cocktail!

This easy Thanksgiving red wine sangria will easily become your favorite recipe because there’s no added sugar. No need to make simple syrup or add spoonfuls of sugar to sweeten the liquids.

The spirits combined together with the fruit juices carry all the natural sweeteners we need to bring this festive holiday season sangria to life!

Here are a couple of simple ingredients you’ll need as you splash this up and get it ready to serve at your fall celebration or Thanksgiving dinner…

Make A Festive Apple Cider Thanksgiving Sangria Recipe with Red Wine

fireball apple cider fall sangria

You can serve this in a pitcher or punch bowl and garnish with seasonal fruit as desired, but first… Let’s get splashing! I like to use a large sort of rustic glass pitcher, toss everything in, and get it all swirled together as I stir it up with a big wooden spoon.

Splash In A Bottle of Red Wine

splash dry red wine into the pitcher

Splash in a bottle of inexpensive dry red wine. Any dry type of wine works best. We will add ingredients that will eventually sweeten and brighten up this tasty beverage. Use easy drinking dry red wine such as pinot noir, merlot, or a fruity red blend. Any of these would work quite well in this Thanksgiving sangria recipe. I used splashes of Bota Box Nighthawk red blend wine for this recipe and it turned out deliciously!

Add Apple Liqueur and Fireball to the Apple Cider Sangria

add some fireball cinnamon whiskey

Splash in some added spirits to fortify and flavor this easy Thanksgiving sangria. Splash in some Fireball cinnamon whiskey. This will add a sweet cinnamon spice layer.

fireball cinnamon whiskey

A splash of Fireball cinnamon liqueur turns our dry wine into a sweet red wine with warming spice notes. We’ll also splash in a little bit of green apple liqueur which quietly punches up that festive apple flavor in background.

If you don’t have apple liqueur, you can use apple brandy such as Calvados.

Splash In Orange Juice and Apple Cider

add 3 to 4 cups of apple cider to the pitcher as well

Brighten everything up by splashing in a little orange juice. Splash in 3 to 4 cups of apple cider and stir everything together. This will give the Thanksgiving sangria hints of bright citrus and apple flavor. The result will be a fruity red wine cocktail layered with hints of sweetness and added spirits.

Add Sparkling Water or Prosecco

top off with dry brut prosecco wine or sparkling water in la croix orange flavor

Lastly, give your sangria a fizzy refreshing finish by adding some bubbles. You can use sparkling water or a dry brut style of Prosecco. Either one works fine!

I finished my Thanksgiving red wine apple sangria with a can of La Croix sparkling water in the orange flavor. You can either splash the club soda right into the pitcher or top off your individual glass pours with the sparkling water or Prosecco. Give it one last gentle stir to combine.

Garnish Thanksgiving Sangria Recipe with Fresh Apples and Serve

top off your glass with ice and cubed green apples

To finish, cube or slice some fresh crisp apples! I like to cube red fuji apples and green granny smith apples. Toss your mix of fruit into the pitcher of sangria. Reserve some to spoon into each glass over fresh ice. You can also drop some fresh orange slices into the sangria pitcher, if desired. Pour a little Thanksgiving sangria red wine mixture into each glass and garnish with cinnamon sticks.

Some other seasonal fruits you can use in your fruity sangria pitcher might include pomegranate seeds, fresh cranberries, sliced blood oranges, or sliced pears.

Pick your favorites and toss them right into the pitcher! Sangria just isn’t itself without handfuls of fresh fruit swirled into the mix.
