Grab A Long Rectangular Box to use in your fall table centerpiece
You’ll need a decorative wooden box. A long rectangular one works best. Mine was not so big. About 3×9 inches. If your box is longer, that’s even better! You can space out and add more tapers, pumpkins and branches to fill in the space creating a longer centerpiece scene. The longer the box, the more elegant the look!
Fill The thanksgiving Centerpiece Box With Moss
I also use some decorative dry moss to fill in the inside of the box and create a little bed for the pumpkins to sit on. Green moss would look beautiful as well!
Add A Taper Candle Holder for warmth and ambiance
Simply add your votive or taper candle holder in the center and nestle the moss around it and throughout the inside of the box. Don’t press the moss too flat. You’ll want it to create some height and hold up the little sparkling pumpkins we’re going to add in just a moment.

You will also need little pumpkin vase fillers and faux/artificial fall leaves. I was able to find these at my local dollar store but a craft store such as Michael’s would also carry these in the seasonal aisle as well.

If available, add some artificial berries/branches at the very ends of the box to give it more character. Now tuck the little vase filler pumpkins into the moss here and there, creating the look of a miniature sparkling pumpkin patch!
Add A Taper Candle
Tuck some of the colorful leaves in on either edges of the box and add a taper candle. You’re all done!
