Fresh Berry Simply Limeade Margarita Recipe
I love using fresh ingredients whenever I can in cocktails. Fresh berries make wonderful cocktails especially in the summer when bold juicy berries hit their peak flavor. A handful of fresh juicy blueberries give this easy margarita recipe a pop of fresh berry flavor. A big splash of Simply Limeade bottled juice makes the perfect shortcut margarita mix with good silver tequila and a hint of fresh lime squeezed in.
If you’re looking for a way to make quick and easy margaritas, this is it! The bottled limeade is basically sweetened lime juice which is pretty much what we put in a margarita to make it taste delicious: tequila + fresh lime + sweetener + orange or citrus liqueur.
The sweet elements will usually consist of agave nectar or simple syrup mixed with some type of citrusy orange liqueur. Some recipes will call for Grand Marnier, some call for Cointreau, still others will simply use a splash of triple sec.
Any of these will basically serve the same purpose which is to add an additional boozy sweetness while contributing an orange-like citrus flavor. Today we’re using a little blue curaçao which will achieve the same flavor profile with a stunning blue color!
