Natural elements like green leaves or green garland paired with bits of burlap fabric create a clean and natural palette of colors that works any time.
Creating Neutral Green And Burlap Table Decor
It’s a neutral combination of colors that can be used in the spring, summer, or even after Christmas in January.
Choose A Soft Color For The Tablecloth
I used a very quiet shade of soft gray for the tablecloth and runner.
Consider Your Table And Apply Your Own Neutral Style
You might choose to line your table with soft shades of sage or green fabrics. Sandy shades of linen would work beautifully as well. If you have a table made of wood or stone or natural tones, you might choose to leave it bare and style it by adding some of these touches. For me, the light gray tones on the tablecloth and runner provide a simple and clean backdrop for the burlap, hints of green leaves and gold votives.
Here you can see the burlap and the grey layered, but you might choose to simply lay down a nice wide burlap table runner and style your greens and votives directly on that by itself! Here is a great choice if you’re looking for a burlap table runner!
Add A Burlap/Natural Tone Runner
This look is meant to be an easy idea to inspire a neutral color combination that works any time of year.

Add A Matching Touch In The Place Settings
To add place settings that match the look, simply tie your napkins with a little burlap ribbon and a sprig of something green.
Burlap Ribbon Is An Easy Matching Touch for Neutral Table Decor
Here I am using a little branch of eucalyptus. I simply placed it on the napkin before tying a bow to hold everything together. I found this burlap ribbon in the craft section at the dollar store.
Accent With A Touch Of Artificial or Fresh Greens
I used a combination of real and artificial greens and bunched them together in different places. This helps to add freshness and a hint of color. I simply used what I had available but you could use whatever you prefer! Choose from fresh eucalyptus or dried eucalyptus branches, oversized green leaves, palm leaves, tropical leaves.
I arranged my greens piece by piece, but in minutes you could just weave a nice eucalyptus garland like this one right down your table and let it drape down your runner, then dot it with votives and done!
You could place the greens around your candles to make them stand out more. Additionally, you could bundle them together in little arrangements and place them on the table as I have done below.
Optional Idea: Make Mini Green Mason Jar Arrangements
I used plain small mason jars lined with little twine bows to match the burlap on the table. Here is a really cute set in copper which is really close to the clear set I have at home. It comes complete with a little wooden case that holds them together.
You’ll see they advertise it to put silverware (which you can), but I like to tie twine around the bottles and use them as vases for artificial or real flower arrangements.
Again, I used a combination of what I had available, but use your imagination and creativity. Combine some stems together and bunch up different style leaves to create bright little green mason jar bundles to add to the table.
Style Green Leaves To Match A Neutral or Burlap Table Decor
When you shop the flower section at the grocery or florist, consider how you would style loose green leaves to bring character and life to your table or your room.
Line Place Settings With Placemats Or Chargers
Line your place settings with a neutral colored or matching burlap placemat. You could also use wood or gold chargers to create layers in matching colors. For added detail, you can tie together your napkins with a little sprig of something green using this cool burlap ribbon!
I hope this easy neutral green and burlap table decor inspires a fresh look you can easily put together. Give it your own special touch so it reflects your style and taste!
