This easy DIY fall table centerpiece idea is a beautiful and easy way to decorate your table for fall. You can put it all together with a simple store bought flower bouquet! I used brown glass beer bottles for my fall table centerpiece instead of a vase. I then split the flowers into three smaller arrangements to give it all a rustic fall harvest charm.
If you have any beer or any root beer bottles left over at home, save them! Green bottles would be lovely as well for a spring arrangement with bright spring flowers, but the brown colored glass is my favorite for fall.
Use Craft Beer Bottles or brown glass bottles for your fall table centerpiece with flowers
You can use any style beer bottle. The longneck skinny bottles or even the ones with the flip top attached, as they all add charm and style to the finished look. Make sure you fill these up with water first! I filled mine about halfway. Once you start adding flowers, there’s practically no space left for water to easily flow in.
Using simple seasonal store bought fall flowers from the grocery store, you can easily create these easy diy fall flower arrangements in minutes. You can use this arrangement to add a flowery fall pop to your countertop spaces or turn it into a fabulous fall or Thanksgiving table centerpiece idea for your table!
Get Fresh Cut Fall Flowers for this easy diy fall table centerpiece
Look for a simple store bought bouquet that contains seasonal style fall flowers like chrysanthemums and daisy type flowers. I bought mine at my grocery store…pretty easy, huh? Yellow or even chocolate sunflowers would look great too (but beware of the thickness of the stems as the beer bottle openings are small and suit just a handful of thin type stems each).
Grab your three beer bottles (filled about halfway with water) and open your store bought flowers. (You can go to the florist and choose a more custom combination of flowers too!)
Lay Out Your Flowers and Divide Them to crate easy fall flower arrangements
Spread the flowers out on a countertop or working space so you can see what you have to choose from. I like to divide my flowers into large size blooms, smaller/tinier flowers, and ones that look like accent pieces that you would sort of dot your arrangements with.
Start Arranging your fall flowers in brown glass beer bottles
Once you split up your flowers into little groups, that’s it! There’s no crazy rocket science to it. Just go with the flow (flower flow!).
Start picking different sized/style/color flowers and arrange them into the three bottles one by one.
To dress these up for fall even more, I took some stems of dried wheat and added them to some of the bottles. I left others with just flowers.
Pull flowers and combine them in the bottles until you’ve found a look or style that you like. First, I put larger sized blooms in the bottles. Next, I added smaller sized blooms underneath the larger ones by tucking them in under the big ones.
Some pointers I found useful: I took all three bottles and set them out straight in front of me. This way I could start dropping flowers in each one with combinations that sort of matched but not perfectly. You want similar but different so it looks coordinated but not picture perfect. That’s what makes it rustic!
Also, turn the individual bottles around and keep tucking in flowers as you see fit. This way the arrangement looks beautiful from every angle and side. This is especially nice if you use this fall table centerpiece idea as a focal point at the dinner table. Everyone will have a stunning view of the flowers no matter where they are seated. These would even make a simple lovely and rustic fall wedding flowers for a small wedding dinner gathering.
Accent your DIY fall flower arrangements With Dried Flowers If Desired
I even dotted these flowers with some stems of smaller green leaves from my garden in the backyard. Anything really goes for these easy DIY fall flower arrangements. You can add dried flowers of your own, wheat stalks, stems or leaves from your own yard or garden, or even little red or orange berries!
Add Vine Or Garland For A Finished fall table Centerpiece Look
To finish off these easy fall table centerpiece ideas, grab some leafy garland or vine (real, dried or artificial) and lay it down on the table in front of the beer bottle flower arrangement.
Dot the table with long taper candles and you’ll have a beautiful rustic fall centerpiece that oozes simple elegance. These styled craft beer bottle flowers easily make a lovely fall or Thanksgiving table centerpiece. There are so many ways to do it, just make sure you give it your own signature style!
Plus, there’s no need to scratch off the beer bottle labels if you don’t want to. It gives a funky vintage vibe!
