This is the perfect cocktail for coffee lovers who enjoy a delicious cocktail with smooth coffee flavor.

Additionally, it’s an easy 4-ingredient simple vodka coffee cocktail that you can shake up in minutes and serve on the rocks for any occasion.  You can brew your favorite brand of rich hot coffee and let cool to room temperature, or you could use unsweetened cold brew coffee.  Your favorite brand of bottled, already chilled, unsweetened cold brew coffee is a nice easy shortcut here.

Ingredients to Make The Chilled Coffee Drink:

vodka coffee cocktail
  • Your favorite vodka –  I used good quality plain, original Ketel One vodka
  • Smooth black coffee – brewed at regular strength and cooled. You might also use your favorite bottled unsweetened black cold brew coffee. Instant coffee may also be prepared according to package directions for a single serving
  • Maple syrup – instead of simple syrup, I’m using maple syrup. It adds a nutty, buttery hint of sweetness that complements the chilled coffee perfectly.
  • Chambord raspberry liqueur – I’m using this luscious and delicious berry flavored liqueur in place of something like Kahlua coffee liqueur.  It adds an elegant tasty finish to the final drink

Instructions To Make An Easy Vodka Coffee Cocktail:

add coffee maple syrup

To make the vodka coffee cocktail, fill a cocktail shaker with ice and splash in the coffee and maple syrup.

Next, add good quality plain vodka to the cocktail shaker.

The Vodka For Your Coffee Cocktail…

If using a different vodka, I recommend sticking with your favorite plain, unflavored vodka. Keep in mind that we are then adding in the coffee, liqueur, and some sweetness from maple syrup.  Flavored espresso vodka or chocolate vodka often comes with a sweeter flavor profile. I wouldn’t really be able to say how the recipe would turn out using these, but you’re certainly welcome to experiment and let me know!

add chambord

Lastly, splash in a bit of Chambord black raspberry liqueur and cover.  Shake vigorously until cocktail is chilled through and mixture has taken a frothy consistency forming a light brown foam.

I like to strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice cubes, but, if desired,  you can also strain into a chilled cocktail glass such as a coupe or martini glass.  When served up in martini glasses, it makes an elegant coffee martini. It pours out just the way you like it, with that wonderful foamy top! Serve very cold.  Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon (and a few coffee beans, if desired) and enjoy right away!

add vodka cover and shake until frothy and pour

Serve this easy coffee cocktail throughout the holiday season to please both vodka lovers and your coffee-loving guests with this simple drink! Serve as an easy dessert cocktail or pour as that perfect after-dinner drink.  That hint of Chambord liqueur complements the coffee and gives the cocktail such a special feel.

garnish the coffee drink with a dash of cinnamon

I feel like this could also be that perfect brunch cocktail for those of you in need of an alternative to the usual bloody mary or mimosa cocktail.  To make it more elegant as a brunch drink, serve up in a chilled glass as a martini cocktail garnishing the same way.

Make this in minutes, shake over ice, and pour on the spot! Enjoy when you crave a delicious coffee vodka cocktails laced with a little something extra special…
