If you’re in search of colorful and festive fall tequila cocktails or easy apple margaritas, then give this easy blood orange apple cider margarita a try! It’s a vibrant and colorful little sip of autumn mixed up into one delicious tequila cocktail!

To Make This Apple Cider Blood Orange Fall Cocktail You’ll Need:

  • Good tequila. Either silver tequila or reposado tequila can be used. A reposado bottle of tequila will be aged one year giving it a rounder taste. The blanco tequila will be young and without aging with that classic agave plant flavor. Either blanco tequila or the aged tequila will work with the bright citrus and spice in this blood orange apple margarita.
  • Good quality orange liqueur. I recommend Grand Marnier due to its rich and luxurious taste. It adds a little special something extra to the cocktail and builds off of the fresh blood orange flavor in this tequila cocktail recipe.
  • Fresh squeezed blood orange juice. It adds bold color, vibrance, and freshness to this festive fall cocktail.
  • Your favorite brand of fresh apple cider. If not available, use something comparable like unfiltered Honeycrisp apple juice.
  • A dash of prepared simple syrup or agave nectar.
  • Fresh lemon juice. Traditionally most people will use lime juice in a margarita. However, the lemon quietly complements the orange and spices in this cocktail blending in seamlessly while balancing everything out.
  • Pinches of autumn spice. I dusted in pinches of good quality ground cinnamon and nutmeg for that extra touch of festive fall flavors.
